Donorly Connect

Looking for a fun activity to bring your team together during lockdown?
Keen to take your mind off the C-word for an hour?
Interested in catching up with other fundraisers and putting your knowledge to the test?

Time to take on a fundraising quiz with a difference!

We know these are difficult times for fundraising teams. Teams are split up with everybody working from home, while some have staff on furlough. Keeping morale up and your team connected is more important than ever.

That’s why we’ve created Donorly Connect – fundraising’s answer to the popular TV quiz ‘Only Connect’.

This fun virtual quiz sees two teams going head-to-head to try and find the connections between the seemingly unrelated words, pictures and music. Every question covers a different aspect of fundraising – but can you find the link?

A FANTASTIC and highly recommended activity for fundraising teams right now.

This was so much fun. Highly recommend fundraising (and general teams) get together and do this!

How does it work?

There are three options available for teams of different sizes:

Large teams (6 – 10 people): book a team game for you and your colleagues. You’ll be playing in two teams against each other. Can you outsmart your co-workers?

Small teams (3-4 people): why not challenge another organisation to a game? Find your own opponent, or we can help match you up against another team.

Individuals: we will be putting on mixed games, giving you a chance to play against fundraisers from a range of organisations.

Each game lasts approximately an hour and we have a range of dates and times available to suit your needs.

Donorly Connect is played on Zoom. Players will need a computer, tablet or mobile phone to join the game. The game will be hosted by David, meaning you can sit back and focus on trying to solve the puzzles!

David is the perfect host. I was impressed by the quality of the quiz but more his ability to bring people together in an online setting.

Thanks for your interest in the Apollo Foundation…but I’m afraid this Foundation doesn’t actually exist!

This webpage forms part of Apollo Fundraising’s “Through A Funder’s Eyes” workshop, where we give fundraisers the chance to experience grant-fundraising from the funder’s perspective. The exercise is designed to help you see your own trust proposals, cultivation and research in a completely new light.

So, while the Apollo Fundraising can’t actually provide you with a grant for your work, perhaps it can help you to secure more grants from those funders that do exist.
