"Thank you very much indeed for the excellent two-day seminar that you gave us in Caernarfon. It was most illuminating and so well presented - we will start to implement the learning ASAP!"

Elinor Bennett – Trustee, CGWM

David has been involved with Canolfan Gerdd William Mathias (CGWM) since 2013, when he ran Brighton Marathon to raise money for their work and, in particular, to support the Ben Muskett Scholarship.

Based in Caernarfon, CGWM provides high quality music tuition, performance opportunities and music engagement for people of all ages through a range of projects and ensembles. CGWM is also responsible for the Wales Harp Festival – an annual celebration of the harp and its important role in Welsh culture.

In 2017, CGWM became the first organisation to be supported through Apollo Fundraising’s CSR programme. In addition to two days of fundraising training for the staff team, we will be supporting their work in a number of ways throughout the year. This includes:

  • Sponsoring the first six months of their subscription to TrustFunding.org.uk
  • Providing ongoing support as they implement an Individual Giving programme
  • Reviewing Trust and Grant proposals

Thanks for your interest in the Apollo Foundation…but I’m afraid this Foundation doesn’t actually exist!

This webpage forms part of Apollo Fundraising’s “Through A Funder’s Eyes” workshop, where we give fundraisers the chance to experience grant-fundraising from the funder’s perspective. The exercise is designed to help you see your own trust proposals, cultivation and research in a completely new light.

So, while the Apollo Fundraising can’t actually provide you with a grant for your work, perhaps it can help you to secure more grants from those funders that do exist.
